Hello Father Peter: As one of your Roman Catholic listeners I have to say that our faiths are so close that I am able to thoroughly enjoy all of your podcasts andthat I find them inspirational and uplifting. I must compliment you on the way you handled the issue of the Immaculate Conception of Mary in this latest podcast (episode 38). Our churches have both been criticized for worshipping Mary - and indeed both groups do express a great deal of reverence toward her. Still, I was a little surprised that the Orthodox and the R.C. Churches hold different views on the Immaculate Conception. I was unaware of this until you mentioned it in your podcast.
To get to the point: I found your comments enlightening and thought provoking. I genuinely appreciate the fact that you avoided the use of phrasing that might be construed as deprecating. I wish others were as tactful when comparing our two Churches.
