Fr. P.: It is clear that in John 21:15 Jesus speaks of relationship. "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?"
(The these in this case, are the disciples).

Often today, in a world of consumption,30 years at least or more, affection has decreased, while hatred, violence and coldness has been steadily increasing. Caring one for another requires that we turn away from seeing things in a material way, and return to the heart of the matter.

We all need and want to be loved and where do you go? It begins with loving parents, if they have time for you. (More than self hopefully, or their other interests.

How will people be brought back to church? When someone or something brings them to their knees?

Have values or morals? (When parents start to be parents and instill morals and values in "their" children,(our future adults.) That should not be left to the school system. I agree that a culture shift is needed.

Often sadly, you find Jesus at your lowest point, sometimes, when you or a loved one are near death.

If Jesus were to ask you, Do you love me? First, you need to know what Love is, then "more than these (me)?" "The what's in it for me, right now generation?"

Pentacostal churches attract people because they instill emotion. People don't know what to feel anymore, but they still want to feel loved, for the most part, want to feel accepted and cared about. Sadly, most churches do not fit the bill, or that's where they would be.

Who wants to go to church to be Judged?

They do not attend because they do not find anything in it for them, and, they do not return, except for weddings or funerals.

Where there is Love? When they find Love present, they'll find Jesus. Love makes Jesus real.

Sometimes, that has nothing to do with a building. Continuing In verse 17, Jesus said to Peter for the third time, a question we all need an answer to, " Do you love Me?"(Rejection hurts, as most of us know).

God does not give up on you, he is persistent. Love endures forever.

Good luck with the Harvard Campus Ministry, and your wonderful podcasts, and radio endeavor.
